Fr Shaun Middleton, Parish Priest

Fr Shaun is our Parish Priest. He came to St Mary’s in 2018, having served in a number of other parishes throughout the diocese.

Born and brought up in South Wales, Fr Shaun has been a priest of the diocese of Westminster for over 30 years. He studied for the Priesthood at the Venerable English College in Rome, and he holds degrees in Theology and Psychology.

Fr Shaun believes in the necessity of Collaborative Ministry and enjoys working alongside his fellow parishioners to create an environment where everyone feels that they can participate fully in the life of the parish.

Muriel Akahi, Administrator and Lead Catechist

Muriel is the Administrator and Lead Catechist at St Mary’s. Originally from the Cote d’Ivoire, Muriel came to London University to study Theology and Canon Law.

She has been working in the field of catechetics for the last nine years and has a wealth of experience in catechetical formation. She takes great delight in sharing the riches of the faith and believes in building up strong catechetical teams.

Muriel is passionate about helping the elderly and is committed to working with a number of African children’s charities.

Mgr Martin Hayes

Fr Martin was born in London and he has been a priest for over 35 years. He is the Vicar General for the Diocese of Westminster and is resident in the Rectory.

He holds degrees in Architecture and Theology and has served with great distinction in varying roles within the diocese.

Fr Martin often helps out by saying Mass in the parish and our parishioners enjoy his challenging and inspirational homilies.
